Alfie Bear's Picnic 2018

What a fantastic turn out at Alfie Bear's Picnic, the sun was shining and it was lovely to see so many people enjoying the day. 

It really was wonderful, and you have helped us raise over £2,500 so far, while raising awareness of DIPG, Childhood Brain Tumours in our Alfie's memory.

Myself, Danny, Val and Anne would like to thank everyone that helped us with the event, we always say a lot of thank you's on the page, because we are extremely grateful for all the support and the picnic really is a big team effort!

Thank you to all our family and friends who helped set up and run stalls on the day. 

Thank you to Graham for organising the generator, bread roll donations and all his help throughout the event. 

Thank you to the amazing guys at 'Paneltex' for kindly lending us their fridge van for the day again this year.

Thank you to Friends of West Hunsbury Parks, Hunsbury Hill WI and The Ironstone Railway for kindly joining and supporting us again this year.

Thank you to Cllr. Brian Oldham for kindly funding the fantastic 'Pacesetters Dog Display Team' and thank you to the team for coming along and putting on such an amazing display at the picnic. 

Thank you to Chris Stone from Horts Estate Agents for his generous sponsorship towards the picnic tea-tent. 

Thank you to Ben from Mini Meadows Farm for kindly supplying the hay-bales for us to use on the day.

Thank you to our favourite DJ, Dan from 'Dan's Big Discos Entertainment' for kindly giving up his day and keeping us all entertained throughout the day in aid of Alfie Bear's Journey.

Thank you to Camphill Community Centre, Parsons Meade, St Benedict's Church and The Hunsbury Hill Centre for lending us their tables and chairs for the day. 

Thank you to Julie and Pete for lending us their marquee and a special thank you to Julie, who came over to help us set it up despite being poorly on the day. 

Thank you to Northants Police for joining us again this year and putting on a fantastic display at the picnic. 

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers, we could not continue with the picnic without your help. 

Thank you to Nicky & Tracey for kindly cooking the BBQ, thank you to Myra for joining us with her candyfloss stall for Alfie Bear, thank you to Charlie for doing the glitter facepainting for Alfie Bear. 

Thank you to Lynda, Nat, Kelly, Phil, Rich, Jonathon, Rhianon, Shanice, Aliyah, Orlando who helped in the tea-tent and on the fete games.

Thank you to the lovely Steph, Jo and Charlotte from The Brain Tumour Charity, who joined us on the day and had fun running the games stalls.

Thank you to Michaela for joining us on the day with their Prosecco & Gin Van which was very popular on the day. Thank you for your kind donation at the end. 

Thank you to Tony from 'Just Party Northampton' for joining us again with the amazing Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam Characters. 

Thank you to the lovely Hayley from the 'Mad4smoothies' team for joining us on the day and for their kind donation at the end. 

Thank you to the lovely Becci and group from Northampton Rocks, who held a lovely stall as well as decorating and hiding fabulous rocks to advertise the picnic and raise awareness of DIPG. 

Thank you to the 'Clifford-Lightley Academy of Irish Dance' and 'Styles Stars' for their amazing dance displays during the afternoon. 

Thank you to Helen and Rich Earl for taking some fantastic photo's during the day. Also, thank you to Rich for sending in his photo's to the Chron, who did a lovely piece on Alfie Bear's Picnic. 

Thank you to the lovely Alfe from Alfe's Cause, for entertaining everyone at the Picnic with his balloon modelling and 'Goldie Bear' mascot. Thank you to Karen for kindly lending us their stocks.

Thank you to BBC Northants for having us on both their breakfast show and BBC Treasure Quest. It was lovely to talk to them and see them again this year, and publicized the picnic to a larger audience. 

Thank you to 'Northampton Events' for kindly promoting the picnic across their social media. 

Thank you to everyone that displayed or advertised one of our picnic posters and thank you to Hunsbury Park Primary School, Wooton Fields Nursery, Wooton Primary School, East Hunsbury Primary School and Hardingstone Day Nursery for kindly sending flyers home in the children's book bags. 

Thank you to all our lovely stall holders for joining us on the day, many of whom, kindly donated raffle prizes. Thank you to Julie-Ann from 'Pamper my Poochie' and for her kind donation at the end. 

Thank you to Marvin from 'Lemonpop Workshops' for kindly joining us with his creative workshop for young people, and for displaying one of our collection pots. 

Thank you to everyone who donated cakes, crockery, teddy bears and raffle prices. 

And finally, thank you to everyone who attended and supported this years Alfie Bear's Picnic at West Hunsbury Country Park.
