Congratulations and our heartfelt thank you to Alfie's Auntie Helen, who completed the Great South Run today!

Helen had not previously ran before, but was determined to complete it for Alfie Bear, and trained hard every day.

She started off the day quite nervous, but she soon overcame that and completed the 10th mile in just over 2 hours.

Helen had the gold awareness ribbon and messages to Alfie proudly displayed on her running top, and her trainer tags said

"Love you Alfie Bear, You're my Inspiration."

As well as completing the run, Helen also raised a fantastic £440 for Alfie's Journey Fund (The Brain Tumour Charity)

Helen said: "Despite my nephew's devastating diagnosis, he got up every day and found a reason to smile. He never gave up, and through Alfie's Journey fund, we will continue Alfie's fight."

We are all incredibly proud of her and know that Alfie would be too ♥
