Fundraise For Us
Thank you for taking the first step in supporting us. The fact that you are reading this means that you are now aware of Alfie's Journey with a brain stem tumour, called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma(DIPG).
Awareness is so important, which is why we share Alfie's Journey with DIPG at every opportunity.
We have sent out thousands of HeadSmart Awareness cards, and plan on sending out even more this year to help highlight the symptoms of Paediatric brain tumours.
If you would like some symptom cards or a sponsor pack for an upcoming event, please email: email@example.com
100% of every £1 raised through Alfie's Journey Fund, goes directly to Paediatric brain tumour research, to help children affected by a DIPG tumour. The Brain Tumour Charity do not use any of the money raised through us for admin or fundraising costs.
There are many ways in which you can fundraise for The Brain Tumour Charity - Alfie's Journey Fund or perhaps you already have an idea in mind. Here are just some of the wonderful things that our supporters have done, to give you some inspiration.

- Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get a box sent out to you.
- If you are a local school, you could hold a mufti day/fancy dress day and ask every student to pay 50p - £1.00 .
- Do you enjoy baking? Perhaps you could hold a cake and coffee morning or to make it more unique you could hold a themed tea party.
- If you are the energetic type, you could do a sponsored run, walk, bike ride, tough mudder. There are so many events going on locally.
- Pub quizzes are a fun way to raise money and awareness. Speak to your local pub, write-up some questions and invite everyone you know.
There are so many ways to fundraise, if you have a unique idea we would love to hear about it.

Why Fundraise For Us?
- Brain tumours are the biggest Cancer killer of children and young adults in the UK, with 450 children being diagnosed with a brain tumour every year.
- Every 9 days, a UK child will be diagnosed with DIPG. DIPG is both inoperable and incurable and has a 0% survival rate!
- Over £500 million is spent on Cancer Research every year, yet less than 2% of UK funding goes towards Brain Tumour Research.
Each year, The Brain Tumour Charity invest over £2.5million in to world-class brain tumour research covering both lab and clinical research.
Alfie's Journey Fund aims to help in the fight against paediatric brain tumours, specifically DIPG by raising awareness through sharing our Alfie's story, and raising funds for paediatric brain tumour research to help children affected by a DIPG tumour.
Being told your child has a brain tumour is devastating, but being told it carries a 0% survival rate and there is "Nothing more that can be done" is indescribable. This needs to change, and we are determined to be a part of that change.
Our Alfie was a little fighter, and he will always be our biggest inspiration. We feel very passionately about making a difference in our Sons memory and place enormous value on the fundraising that our supporters do for us.
We could not continue to raise awareness and vital funds without your help. Thank you ♥
Awareness + Funding + Research = Cure
